About Us
Meet Sophia Nguyen – Founder Hanoi Food Tours Led By Women
Hello and Xin Chào!
I’m Sophia Nguyen, the founder of Tours Food Hanoi, and like many travelers who fall in love with Vietnam, my journey began with a simple belief: the best way to discover a destination is through its food and the people who create it.

For more than 15 years, I have dedicated my career to exploring Vietnam’s extraordinary culinary heritage, vibrant culture, and hidden local communities. From the colorful mountain markets of Northern Vietnam and the limestone landscapes of Ha Long Bay to the imperial flavors of Hue, the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An, the energetic rhythm of Saigon, and the fertile Mekong Delta, every journey has deepened my understanding of what makes Vietnamese cuisine so unique.
I started my career in tourism in 2009 as a local guide, leading food lovers and cultural explorers across Hanoi and Northern Vietnam. Working alongside international travelers from every corner of the world gave me a valuable perspective on what visitors truly seek—not simply famous landmarks, but authentic experiences, meaningful conversations, and genuine local connections.
Over the years, I collaborated with leading Vietnamese and international travel companies, designing immersive itineraries and delivering experiences that combined exceptional food, cultural storytelling, and personalized hospitality. Those years taught me that the most memorable journeys are often found far beyond the guidebooks—in family-run kitchens, bustling street markets, quiet alleyways, and around tables where strangers become friends.
In 2016, that vision became Hanoi Food Tours Led By Women
Our mission has always been simple: to introduce travelers to the real Hanoi through its extraordinary street food, rich traditions, and welcoming people. Every experience we create is carefully designed to support local businesses, celebrate Vietnamese culinary heritage, and provide guests with an authentic perspective of daily life in the capital.
Today, Tours Food Hanoi has proudly welcomed thousands of travelers from around the world. Alongside our signature Hanoi Food Tours, we also operate Hanoi Jeep Tours, Hanoi Vespa Tours, Hanoi Motorbike Tours, and Hanoi Bicycle Tours, offering different ways to experience the city while maintaining the same commitment to authenticity, safety, sustainability, and exceptional service.
Our greatest achievement is not the number of tours we operate—it is the lasting memories our guests take home, the friendships created along the way, and the opportunity to share the Vietnam we know and love with visitors from across the globe.
Whether it’s your first visit to Hanoi or your fifth, we look forward to welcoming you as our guest and helping you experience the city not as a tourist, but as a local.
Come hungry. Leave with unforgettable memories.
